Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) staff are the lifeforce of our humanitarian action worldwide. Currently, MSF is urgently looking for qualified psychologists and psychiatrists available to work for 6-12 months in our projects.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Supervising and training staff
- Providing direct clinical care
You will implement mental health programs including:
- the set-up
- Monitoring our psycho-social support
- Evaluating culturally and socially appropriate psycho-social interventions.
Role Requirements
- Full and current registration
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Psychology or Social Work (clinical specialization required), certified clinical Psychologist or certified Psychiatrist
- Minimum two years relevant post-qualification work experience (PTSD, depression, anxiety)
- Experience in individual and group counseling
- Available to work 6 to 12 months
- Experience supervising, training and managing others
- Strong command of English and/or French
- Relevant travel or work experience in Africa, Latin America, Asia, Middle East or remote parts of Canada
