Send greetings to MSF staff around the world

Port-à-Piment. March 2020. Hospital of Port-à-Piment where MSF is providing mother and child care and perform easy deliveries. A health promotor is explaining the health measures for pregnant women. For complicated deliveries, patients are transferred to other hospitals where sometimes the patients are refused, because there is no electricity or because they ask the patients to buy their medicines before being taken care of. The closest hospital is located in Port-Salut, 45 minutes away in taxi-moto. If the patient is refused, the next hospital is 2 hours away from Port-à-Piment. It is a state-run hospital, often refusing patients for the reasons stated above. The next possibility for the patient to be taken care of is the Hospital in Bonne-Fin. It's very difficult to reach, because it is located in a very remote area with no proper roads leading to it. It's also paying. Usually MSF pays for the patients.

Right now, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) staff are delivering free and vital medical assistance to people caught in crises.

Gifts from supporters like you help make this possible. Thank you.

Today, please take a moment to share a message of appreciation and well wishes for MSF staff working in different countries around the world. It will mean a lot to our team members who will be away from home this holiday season.

Leave a message on our digital postcard below and we’ll post it online for our teams to read. As they continue to provide emergency medical care to people who need it most, heartwarming messages like yours provide comfort.
