Activities happening at the MSF booth

Here’s how you can take part in our MSF activities at Luminato In The Square on Sun., June 9 from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. at David Pecaut Square:

INSPIRING CONVERSATIONS

Visit the MSF tent to talk with healthcare and logistics workers back from assignment abroad, as well as local staff, who will be happy to answer your questions about our work along displacement routes and the impacts of the migration journey on people’s health.

CO-CREATE WITH US

Bring out your inner artist and explore what it means to be uprooted from your home as we create an interactive piece of art in collaboration with Oddside Arts, a cultural arts nonprofit group. Together we will explore vibrant visual patterns and show our solidarity with people who have been forcibly displaced around the world through a large-scale art piece designed with creative prompts. Make sure to snap a photo, tag @msfcanada and share on Instagram ahead of World Refugee Day on June 20.

NEW ART EXHIBIT

Check out the Canadian debut of Side by Side, MSF’s new photo exhibit created in collaboration with world-renowned digital artist Uğur Gallenkuş, on display until June 16. The exhibition features a selection of collages by Uğur created with original pictures from MSF’s archives. In our daily lives saturated with constant news, it is challenging to address the question of rights, safety, access to healthcare and the discrepancy between living conditions in different parts of the world. These images portray starkly different realities that challenge us to reflect and look beyond our every day to see the big picture.
